To celebrate the freedom to read and create, DISCO is holding the Banned Books Read-A-Thon, a 36-hour, nonstop, out-loud, reading of more than a dozen classic books.
The read-a-thon will take on September 21-22. We need your help to pull it off and to support the amazing programming DISCO offers Birmingham-area students throughout the year. Here's how to get involved:
Register as a reader by becoming a fundraiser for the Banned Books Read-A-Thon. (We will follow up by email with information about the schedule and reading times.)
Customize your fundraising page and set a fundraising goal. (No pressure: Raise whatever feels right to you.)
Send your network a link your fundraising page and ask them to sponsor your reading by donating to DISCO.
